The path to the wallis brand

Not anonymously, but personally and at eye level with our partners and developers

As part of an institution with a long tradition, we want to open ourselves and the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe even further to innovative solutions, change and progress. Through our exchange with the entire Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, we have many years of experience with banking and financial interfaces and know exactly what we are doing. But we are also open to your ideas and want to work with you to develop innovative solutions for the customers of tomorrow.

What drives us.

Our team consists of people who believe in the power of APIs. What drives us is the belief that APIs as tools can create great innovative services and applications that enable the banking of tomorrow. Together, we work hard every day to bring you unlimited possibilities with wallis via the central API platform of the Sparkassen.

Where we come from.

For more than 20 years, our parent company Star Finanz has been in the market as a service and solution provider for electronic payments, financial solutions and app development. We have already contributed our many years of experience in dealing with banking interfaces such as FinTS to the Sparkassen Innovation Hub (S-Hub), where financial solutions of tomorrow are developed. Since November 2020, we have been pooling our expertise in the area of APIs – first as Star Finanz AHOI GmbH, now as wallis GmbH – and operating wallis for you on behalf of Finanz Informatik for the Sparkassen.

APIs as a gamechanger.

Our work in the S-Hub has shown: New product ideas can be developed quickly and effectively along customer needs. APIs help with this, shorten the time-to-market and make it possible for banking data to take place in the right context of the customer. Beyond the provision of APIs, we also help to bring ideas to the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe in terms of communication and strategy. To do this, we work together with fintechs or network with innovation initiatives within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe.

Where wallis is at home

Our office is located at the 'Tor zur Welt' – in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg and in the direct vicinity of the S-Hub. But of course you can use wallis from anywhere in the world.
